Getting Ready for the 2009 Season

This year we are getting off to a early start as we will be teeing it up in Myrtle Beach Feb.25 at Woodland Valley.  There is also a plan for a overnight trip in June or July to Lakeview Hills in Lexington, Michigan.  Details for this trip will be available in April and we will be booking it in May.  As was suggested after the long first day last year we have decided this year to leave a day early with no golf scheduled but that does not mean we won't possibly play 9 holes on the first day.  We are also staying at Myrtlewood villas this year instead of River Oaks.  This will also mark the first year we will be in Myrtle on a Friday night which should make for a good night out.

Well overall the trip was a success, I am now convinced that the one big change for next time will be to depart for Myrtle one day ahead as the all nighter than golf takes its toll.  Right Newf?
My favorite of the courses was indeed TPC Myrtle I would add this course to the list and play each trip down if that was possible, I have to say I am glad that I played World Tour but now having played it I don't think I would venture on that course again with all the choices in Myrtle I'm sure we can find some as comparable or nicer.

The next golf outing for the SBC golf society will be sometime in the fall as we are looking at doing a overnight trip somewhere in Michigan.  Possibly Gull Lake once again or Garland we will have to see what kind of deals are available. Stay tuned to my blog as I will just go on about the world of golf through my eyes...
